Chris Aran and HoZ are at it again creating the music video for his latest released track, Blurry. The video, Produced by Mario Gonzalez marks the first in a series of videos to tell a visual story for HoZ’s latest album.
HoZ Gets Blurry-Chris Aran Clears it up
After a few successful videos with HoZ, it was inevitable that we would work again. Mario Gonzalez, HoZ’s long time producer reached out again and sent over the track for Blurry. The intention of this video was to show the effects of inebriation, but with a plot twist involving three women who all appear to be the same, but aren’t.
The story follows HoZ on a journey home after a long night of partying. The sun is up, and he’s still inebriated. On his way home HoZ is plagued with a mix of faded memories, and fantasies. The world twists around him as he confronts an odd cast of characters. When he finally arrives at home, the truth is revealed about why he spends his nights out.
The usual suspects were there. The incredibly seasoned DP Jon Fordham, Lindsey O Donnell, doing makeup for the multiple looks of our heroes drunken love interest, along with Producer JP Cortorreal, Social Media Influencer C-Lo, and our lovely model over at Toyboxdollz.
Beyond the Video
Blurry began as a standalone video but was eventually placed in line as part of a series of videos designed to visually tell the stories of the songs in HoZ’s album, Uptown Zoo. Here you’ll see first in the series, Glow Up, The album, with plenty of other tracks to follow, sets the stage for a unique blend of audio and visual storytelling.
While Uptown Zoo is out now and more videos are planned for the future, the Harlem native has been steadily writing material for his next album. His sound and lyricism has shown maturity over his last two albums and it should be exciting to see what comes next.
